What affects the price?

Four factors that determine the final quote.

Script length

Word count is the most important factor. More words mean more recording time and editing.

Usage context

Internal communications cost less than externally published material. Commercial use is priced separately.

Rights & licence

Duration, channel and geography affect the rights fee. Unlimited buyout is quoted separately.

Delivery timeline

Standard delivery is 2–3 business days. Rush delivery – same day or next day – carries a surcharge.

Rights & usage

Voice over is a copyrighted work. This means the price depends partly on how and where the recording will be used. Below you can see how the most common usage contexts affect the cost.

Unsure which rights you need? Describe the project briefly in your quote request and I’ll work it out with you.

Internal use Included in price
Web & social media Usually included

Common questions about pricing

What does a revision round cost?

One revision round is always included in the price – at no extra cost. This means you can send back minor adjustments once, for example single word changes or small shifts in tone, and these are made without any surcharge. If additional revision rounds are needed beyond that, they are quoted separately at a reasonable rate.

How do rights work for voice over?

Voice over is a copyrighted work, which means the price partly depends on how and where the recording will be used. Internal use and publication on the web or social media are usually included in the base price. For TV, radio, cinema or international distribution, an additional rights fee applies. Full unlimited buyout – where you receive unrestricted usage rights with no time limit – is always quoted separately. The quote will specify exactly which rights are included.

Can I get a discount for large volumes?

Yes. For ongoing collaborations or larger projects – for example a series of e-learning modules or several videos within the same campaign – package pricing can make sense. Describe your project and the approximate number of minutes or modules in the quote request, and I’ll put together an approach that fits your budget.

What happens if the script changes after recording?

Minor changes within the revision round – short word substitutions, individual sentences – are made at no extra cost. If the script changes substantially after recording has begun, for example if new sections are added or the structure is altered, a new session is required. This is then quoted separately. The best approach is to send as complete a script as possible from the start.

Do the prices include VAT?

No. All prices on this page are shown exclusive of VAT. VAT is added at the applicable rate. The invoice always specifies the amount excl. VAT, the VAT amount and the total amount incl. VAT. International clients outside Sweden are typically not subject to Swedish VAT – please mention this when you get in touch.

Do you invoice in currencies other than SEK?

Invoicing is in SEK (Swedish kronor). The EUR equivalents shown on this page are approximate and based on current exchange rates. Payment is straightforward via international bank transfer, and the process is the same as working with any other European freelancer or production company.
